Is Israel behaving like a “Nazi Government”? The Slaughtering Genocide carried out by Israel in Gaza
Updated February 20th 2009
Latest Gaza’s death accounts from MOH:
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health between 27 December 2008 and 18 January 2009, at least 1300 people had been killed, including 410 children and 104 women, with some 5300 injured, including at least 1855 children and 795 women. Many injured and chronically ill patients have been unable to reach hospitals because of movement restrictions. The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs estimates that tens of thousands of people have fled their homes. As of 18 January, UNRWA had established at least 50 emergency shelters for nearly 50 000 people. Many displaced people have taken shelter with other families. (Source: ReliefWeb, “The health situation in the Gaza Strip - Report by the Secretariat 20 Jan 2009”).
First of all, to get a contextual impression of this genocide please see this video report by Gaza-based BBC producer Rushdi Abu Alouf from BBC News (Jan 5 2009), "Casualties rise in Gaza offensive". Take special attention to the interview done to the norwegian physician, Mads Gilbert, who had arrived in from Shifa Hospital, Gaza, days earlier to volunteer his medical skills. Gilbert, expressed that international aid agencies were absent from the hospital. He said Gaza is a medical disaster accounting for amputations and head injuries. Increasing daily patients that are coming into the hospital accounted 2,450 injured persons, 45 percent of them women and children - and that didn't even include innocent men.
Second of all, see these video reports from AlJazeera (Jan 4 2009),
"Gaza hospital struggles to cope with casualties" and this other video report (warning: crude war images) from AlJazeera (Jan 11 2009), "Scenes in Gaza after more Israeli raids".
Third of all, read this piece from Electronic Intifada (Feb 4 2005), "Why Zionism today is the real enemy of the Jews", from Avi Shlaim, (British Academy Research Professor of International Relations at St. Antony's College, Oxford. He served in the Israeli Army). One of the world leading authorities on Arab-Israel conflicts who said:
“Israel's image today is negative not because it is a Jewish state but because it habitually transgresses the norms of acceptable international behavior. Indeed, Israel is increasingly perceived as a rogue state, as an international pariah, and as a threat to world peace”.
Fourth of all, forget about the false media supremacy of CNN, ABC, CNBC, FOX into middle east news and start digging into acute independent thinkers and analysts within the Satellite Free World Media or People Sponsored Media, such as Democracy Now!, AlJazeera (and it’s AlJazeera Youtube Channel), Link TV and Al Arabiya, and Press TV.
HEADLINE: WHO STARTED THIS ONSLAUGHT WAR? THE FACTS SAY ISRAEL DID.
A key deception promoted by the National Information Directorate involves the claim that the latest cycle of violence began when Hamas broke a four-month ceasefire agreed last June. In fact, Israel broke the ceasefire when it launched a raid into Gaza on November 4, killing six people.
On November 5th 2008, The Guardian reported at, "Gaza truce broken as Israeli raid kills six Hamas gunmen": "A four-month ceasefire between Israel and Palestinian militants in Gaza was in jeopardy today after Israeli troops killed six Hamas gunmen in a raid into the territory. Hamas responded by firing a wave of rockets into southern Israel, although no one was injured. The violence represented the most serious break in a ceasefire agreed in mid-June".-
Also from The Guardian (Jan 7 2009), "How Israel brought Gaza to the brink of humanitarian catastrophe". Where International Relations’ jew professor Avi Shlaim at St. Antony's College, Oxford, said:
“A wide gap separates the reality of Israel's actions from the rhetoric of its spokesmen. It was not Hamas but the IDF that broke the ceasefire. It did so by a raid into Gaza on 4 November that killed six Hamas men. Israel's objective is not just the defence of its population but the eventual overthrow of the Hamas government in Gaza by turning the people against their rulers. And far from taking care to spare civilians, Israel is guilty of indiscriminate bombing and of a three-year-old blockade that has brought the inhabitants of Gaza, now 1.5 million, to the brink of a humanitarian catastrophe”.
(1) Is Israel a lying media-engineered government towards its own people (hence also to the rest of the world)?
He said on his article in the Washington Post, (Jan 8 2009), "An Unnecessary War": “I know from personal involvement that the devastating invasion of Gaza by Israel could easily have been avoided”…” After about a month, the Egyptians and Hamas informed us that all military action by both sides and all rocket firing would stop on June 19, for a period of six months, and that humanitarian supplies would be restored to the normal level that had existed before Israel's withdrawal in 2005 (about 700 trucks daily).
We were unable to confirm this in Jerusalem because of Israel's unwillingness to admit to any negotiations with Hamas, but rocket firing was soon stopped and there was an increase in supplies of food, water, medicine and fuel. Yet the increase was to an average of about 20 percent of normal levels. And this fragile truce was partially broken on Nov. 4, when Israel launched an attack in Gaza to destroy a defensive tunnel being dug by Hamas inside the wall that encloses Gaza”.
Israel say that humanitarian aids are reaching inside Gaza, when on the other side, the whole world knows that they have been running a blockage of medicines, foods, energy, water, and negating access to international journalists and appropriate access to the UN humanitarian convoy (UNRWA) and the Red Cross, beginning since January 2008.
From New York Times (Jan 19 2008), "Israel Closes All Gaza Border Crossings, Citing Palestinian Rocket Attacks": "The Israelis cut off border crossings around Gaza in January 2008 and suspended sale of fuel to the Palestinians in Gaza in response to the continued launching of rockets into southern Israel by Hamas militants...while Hamas and other Palestinian militants said they had increased their rocket fire in retaliation for intensified Israeli raids...The Israeli decision to close border crossings was another attempt to put pressure on Hamas in Gaza, and at least one United Nations aid shipment was not allowed through".
From Democracy Now! (Jan 5 2009), Israeli Professor Under Hamas Rocket Fire, Neve Gordon Condemns Israeli Invasion of Gaza says:
"We have here a situation where actually Israel did leave the Gaza Strip three years ago, but it maintains sovereignty in any political science sense of the term. We've controlled all the borders. We've basically had an economic boycott on the Gaza Strip. And the people there have been living in what one should probably call as a prison. And they've been reacting with rockets, because probably that's the only way that they can react.
And I think what Israel has been doing now has little to do with stopping the rockets, but actually it's an election move inside Israel. It's a move to build the reputation of the Israeli military after its humiliation in 2006. And what they're actually doing is bombing from the air and massacring people, and we have to say no to this from here.
I think today and for the past years, Israel has been the obstacle to peace in the Middle East, because it's not willing to compromise on the three major issues, which is a return to the 1967 borders, it's the division of Jerusalem, and it's a recognition of the right of return of the Palestinians with a stipulation that only a small amount can return back to Israel.
The problem is that most Israelis say what Meagan said before. They say, "Israel left the Gaza Strip three years ago, and Hamas is still shooting rockets at us." They forget the details. The details is that Israel maintains sovereignty. The details is that the Palestinians live in a cage. The details is that they don't get basic foodstuff, that they don't get electricity, that they don't get water, and so forth. And when you forget those kinds of details, and all you say is, "Here, we left them. Why are they still shooting at us?" and that's what the media here has been pumping them with, then you think this war is rational. If you look at what's been going on in the Gaza Strip in the past three years and you see what Israel has been doing to the Palestinians, you would think that the Palestinian resistance is rational. And that's what's missing in the mainstream media here. And so, although there are voices of resistance in Israel and although there was a quite big protest on—actually, two big protests on Saturday, one in Sakhnin and one in Tel Aviv, it is still a really small minority".
(2) A Debate on Israel's Invasion of Gaza
From AlJazeera
(Jan 8 2009), "UN: Humanitarian crisis worsening": “
Israeli leaders have maintained that there is no humanitarian crisis for the Palestinians living in the densely populated territory, and that they have been keeping border crossings open and are delivering vital supplies”…“
Several times last week, Tzipi Livni, the Israeli foreign minister, denied there was a humanitarian crisis”.
Outstanding! do Tzipi Livni believes the whole world is THAT stupid?
From AlterNet (Jan 9 2009), “What You'd Know About Israel If You Watched AlJazeera TV”:
“…Take Israel's claim that there is no humanitarian crisis in Gaza. After showing an Israeli politician writing off the assertion of the existence of a humanitarian disaster, AlJazeera cut to the Al Shifa hospital, the largest in all of Gaza. There, we saw that there were not enough medical supplies and civilians lying on bloody hospital beds told us that their lives were not only being crippled by bombs falling on their houses, but by the extreme lack of water and food for the people cowering inside them.
One man, as he held his dead, pale faced 7-month-old son in his arms, said, "We were in our house for three days before the bombs fell on us. We called for the Red Cross and humanitarian groups, but no one was able to reach us…We have no one but God."
Israeli officials continue to assert that they are allowing in humanitarian aid by opening the border, but as AlJazeera's Ayman Moheyaldin reported from the inside, "The point is not that you open the crossings to allow in 30 to 40 trucks, but that you keep them open and allow a continuous amount of goods to enter for a sustainable amount of time."
The problem isn't only that supplies can't get in. People still can't get out. Most are left searching hopelessly for safety while their stories remain trapped within Gaza's walls.
"There is nowhere safe in Gaza," an enraged John Ging, head of the UN Relief and Works Agency in Gaza, told AlJazeera's Sherine Tadros in front of the Al Shifa hospital today. Those words came after the Israeli Defense Forces bombed a UN school that was being used as a refuge. Later in the day, a second UN school was struck by the Israelis, killing at least 40. "Everyone here is terrorized and traumatized and they have the right to be because there is no safe haven…This violence needs to stop now. Neither side can wait for the other to stop first," he said”.
Christopher Gunness, spokesperson for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), on the line from Gaza said on Democracy Now! (Jan 5 2009), "A Debate on Israel’s Invasion of Gaza: UNRWA’s Christopher Gunness v. Israel Project’s Meagan Buren":
"On the humanitarian front, a million people across the Strip are without electricity, because we’ve been unable to get fuel in, though we did get some fuel in today to the main power plant that’s been shut down since Sunday. At least a quarter of a million people, probably more, are without running water. Our food distribution centers have, all but two of them, managed to keep going, and all but five of our eighteen health clinics have opened. But when I hear Israeli politicians—excuse me—say that there is no humanitarian crisis, there are plenty of supplies in Gaza, Israel’s obligations as an occupying power do not end when they dump a handful of trucks on the edges of the fence that they’ve built around Gaza"...
"There is a humanitarian crisis, and it ill-behooves Israeli politicians simply to say there is no shortage of anything in Gaza. There is a shortage of wheat, and there is a shortage of fuel, and that means that people are facing a humanitarian crisis". [...] "...let’s look at the proportionality here.., how many have been killed in the last few days? 531, among them, women, children. Just last night, seven of our refugees, unconfirmed reports saying killed in their beds while they slept. Nine of our students killed in one air strike. This is not proportionate. And what is happening in Sderot, which is utterly condemnable, I don’t think justifies this level of disproportionality. Anyone looking at the facts, straightforward, on the ground,...can also understand that this degree of killing of innocent women and children and babies is not justified".
From New American Media (Jan 10 2009), "In Gaza, Shortage of Basic Necessities Worse Than Threat of Death":
“The amount of aid currently being allowed in by the Israeli military is "nowhere near enough to met the needs of the people there," says Shaheen Chughtai, humanitarian policy adviser for international relief agency Oxfam, in a phone interview from Jerusalem. "These crossings need to be open 24 hours."
Even if more supplies are let through, the humanitarian crisis will persist, she says. "Only those who are near the entry points would be able to access such supplies, leaving the majority of the population still struggling to survive in the face of a dearth of food, medicines and other essential items."
(3) What are the consequences for americans and israeli. Are their governments currently working for their people?
From BBC News (Jan 3 2009), “Benn: 'The bombing must stop'”:
“I think when Bush said he gave full support to Israel, I think he gave away what this is about, this is about the United States using Israel to dominate the middle east. That’s really what’s all about […] Bush and Blair who launched this war six years ago are pretending they have a peace plan. There is no peace plan, Bush supports Israeli and Blair has been silent. The bombing must stop. […] The killing of women and children is absolutely wrong. Israel must conform to international law”, said the veteran UK Labour politician Tony Benn.
From Salon (Jan 6 2009), "The Israel rules" [?]:
“Much of the rest of the world is outraged by Israel's assault on Gaza. But the United States -- the beacon of democracy, the champion of freedom, a nation founded on revolutionary anti-colonialism -- is applauding it […] America is backing Israel's assault despite the fact that it is seriously injurious to our national interests, and ultimately to Israel's as well. Israel's actions will not make it safer, and in the long run could endanger its very existence. But Israel, surrounded by a sea of enemies, has far more reason to cling to its belief in militarism than America does.
Why does America give Israel a blank check to do what it wants, even when its actions are so manifestly contrary to our self-interest? Because we hold Israel to a different standard than other states. We follow what we might call "the Israel rules."
"But U.S.-Mideast relations will not heal fully while irritation from the Israeli-Palestinian conflict persists. In the meantime Al-Qaeda will benefit accordingly"..."So the bad news is that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is damaging U.S. national security"..."The two sides cannot make peace on their own; the U.S. must lead them to it. Specifically, Washington must frame its own final-status peace plan and use carrots and sticks to persuade both sides to agree. Enough with Oslo-style, open-ended peace plans: the two sides will move forward more willingly if they know their destination. And enough with passive mediation: strong U.S. persuasion is necessary. If either side needs incentives to move it forward, inducements—both positive and negative—should be starkly framed and firmly applied". From MIT Center for International Studies (Apr 2005), "Why U.S. National Security Requires Mideast Peace".
Observation: Israel committed violence escalation without proportions, violating the peace truce and also the humanitarian international laws and international war laws, slashing civilians, women and children that are not part of any “war against Hamas”, choosing to drop all possibilities of building up a peace process with the intervention of the US and the new administration. Strategically fragmenting the public opinion, fixing their position into extreme polarization. It is clear now, that peace is not in the interest of Israel, since they have become now a country that does not respect humanitarian assistance, human rights and the UN truce proposals. As a result this nation shows no interest in their own population –the jews.
Clearly and certainly Israel knows how to polarize its citizens manipulating their public opinion, however Hamas may also do so. Take a look at this acute research from the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research (PSR) (Mar 24 2008), "Threatened Israelis and Palestinians Disenchanted with the Peace Process and Support Further Violence": "Consistent with the gloomy expectations from the peace process and the heightened threat feelings, Palestinians support of violent acts against Israel is staggering while Israeli support for military action in Gaza remains stable".
For example, it is widely known that, "Most Israelis and Palestinians now agree on the same peace terms. Specifically, polls taken in December 2004 and January 2005 show that 54 percent of Palestinians and 64 percent of Israelis endorse the parameters for settlement proposed by President Bill Clinton in December 2000. If the publics can agree on terms there is little reason their leaders cannot do likewise". From MIT Center for International Studies (Apr 2005), "Why U.S. National Security Requires Mideast Peace".
From The Guardian (Jan 7 2009), "How Israel brought Gaza to the brink of humanitarian catastrophe":
“The problem with Israel's concept of security is that it denies even the most elementary security to the other community. The only way for Israel to achieve security is not through shooting but through talks with Hamas, which has repeatedly declared its readiness to negotiate a long-term ceasefire with the Jewish state within its pre-1967 borders for 20, 30, or even 50 years. Israel has rejected this offer for the same reason it spurned the Arab League peace plan of 2002, which is still on the table: it involves concessions and compromises.
This brief review of Israel's record over the past four decades makes it difficult to resist the conclusion that it has become a rogue state with "an utterly unscrupulous set of leaders". A rogue state habitually violates international law, possesses weapons of mass destruction and practises terrorism - the use of violence against civilians for political purposes. Israel fulfils all of these three criteria; the cap fits and it must wear it. Israel's real aim is not peaceful coexistence with its Palestinian neighbours but military domination”.
(4) Are we, the people, finally finding the truth about israeli government and american government interests’ which are based in rhetorical lies (omissions and tergiversations of information) over the TV news, newspapers, and other media manipulations?
We, the people, do not want more of the same foreign policy dynamics as these mass-assassinations governments like Israel or USA have been carrying out (Hiroshima, Gaza, Jenin). Seems like our governments are becoming our enemies, engaging in escalating violence towards geopolitical oil strategic positions. It looks like Israel’s called 'enemies' are becoming the bloody mirror of a genocide, augmented by our civil apathy and silence.
From MIT Center for International Studies (May 2008), "Much Ado About Nothing: The Israeli-Palestinian Peace Process":
“…Explanations turning to personal political fortunes can go just so far. It is unsettling to detect—on the Israeli side (at least)—a consistent peace-process behavior stretching back all the way to Madrid. Engaging in negotiations and being recognized as doing so may be Israel’s way of sustaining the status quo while reinforcing the facts on the ground that ensure Israeli control of as much of the Palestinian territories as conceivably and militarily possible”.
From Human Rights Watch (Jan 4 2009), "Israel: Gaza Ground Offensive Raises Laws of War Concerns":
"...Human Rights Watch investigations of previous ground operations in Gaza and the West Bank by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) found evidence of unlawful killings by Israeli forces"..."The IDF's last major ground operation in Gaza, from February 27 to March 3, 2008, killed 107 Palestinians, more than half of whom were civilians, and wounded more than 200. Two Israeli soldiers died".
"...Human Rights Watch's detailed field investigation of that operation found serious violations by the IDF, including the killing of a wounded man getting treatment in an ambulance, the shooting deaths of two civilians on donkey carts, and the shooting and wounding of two men in IDF custody. In two cases, tank crews opened fire on unarmed civilians. All of these incidents took place in an area that was firmly under the control of the IDF.
Palestinian medics and ambulance drivers also faced restrictions on their ability to treat the wounded and dead - both civilians and combatants - and came under fire that killed one medic".
"...Past IDF ground operations raise additional concerns. Human Rights Watch's on-the-ground investigation of the April 2002 IDF ground operation in Jenin refugee camp in the West Bank found that at least 22 of the 52 Palestinians killed were civilians, including some as the result of unlawful or willful killings by the IDF (Report). The IDF used armored bulldozers to demolish residents' homes to clear the way for armored vehicles, but in some cases the destruction extended well beyond any conceivable military objective. The IDF blocked the passage of medical personnel and vehicles into Jenin refugee camp for 11 days, and IDF soldiers repeatedly fired on ambulances".
Massive protests around the world amount the true opinion of the masses against Israel and against their brutal, terrorist, and mercenary methods of assaulting a whole civil population -including women and fragile children- as if they were their adversary Hamas. This was not war, but a moral indecency from Israel, showing its true face of nothing better than a ‘butcher arm’ of terrorism-war-oriented country.
Protests against Israel, around the World: We have seen more and more independent citizens (jews and non jews alike), protesting for peace, protesting to get back democracy, this time….the real one.
-In an interview with independent news program Democracy Now! (Jan 13 2009), "“Catastrophically Misguided and Incomprehensible Policy”–Renowned Jewish Playwright Tony Kushner Speaks Out Against Israel’s Assault on Gaza", where a group called Jews Against the Occupation staged a protest against Israel’s invasion of Gaza blocks away outside the Israeli consulate in New York. There was the renowned american-jew playwright and screenwriter Tony Kushner, winner of a Pulitzer Prize and a Tony Award; he called the fighting in Gaza "a catastrophically misguided and incomprehensible policy... It's immensely important for the Jewish community to not remain silent". Kushner also calls for a ceasefire, saying it would make "not only the Palestinian people sufer, but also Israel sufer".-
-Similarly, the Jewish Voice for Peace (Dec 28 2008), "JVP statement on Gaza attacks", declared: "Jewish Voice for Peace joins millions around the world, including the 1,000 Israelis who protested in the streets of Tel Aviv [], in condemning ongoing Israeli attacks on Gaza", following the onset of the hostilities in late December".
- From Democracy Now! (Jan 12 2009), "Tens of Thousands Demonstrate Globally Against Israeli Actions, Jewish Women Among Those Leading Protests": “A protest in the Belgian capital of Brussels drew 30,000 people. In Manila, Philippines, policemen used shields to disperse students protesting outside the US embassy. In Spain, as many as 100,000 people attended rallies in Madrid and the southwestern city of Seville. In Beirut, Lebanon, an estimated 2,500 Lebanese and Palestinians gathered to demonstrate. In Damascus, Syria, demonstrators accused Arab leaders of being complicit in the Gaza assault. Here in this country, several thousand protesters in Washington gathered in a park across the street from the White House, and in New York, demonstrators gathered in Times Square”.
- From France 24 (Jan 10 2009), “Tens of thousands protest Gaza offensive across Europe”.
- Video Report from BBC (Jan 10 2009), ”UK protesters call for Gaza peace”: “BBC estimates as high as 50.000”.
- Video Report from BBC (Jan 3 2009), "London protest near Israeli embassy": “Up to 5,000 in London”.
- Video Report (in spanish) from Radio Cooperativa (Jan 9 2009), "Comunidad palestina en Chile solidarizó con Gaza", of the protests held in Chile.
- From Alternative Information Center (Jan 9 2009), "Protesters Occupy Israeli Consulates in Toronto, Montreal ".
- From AlJazeera (Jan 9 2009), "Global protests condemn Gaza war: Boycott call": “At least 5,000 people protested outside the US embassy in Malaysia on Friday, and around 300 held a noisy protest outside the National Mosque in Kuala Lumpur”.
- From Democracy Now!, "Headlines for January 09, 2009, Protests Worldwide Decry Gaza Attack": “Protests, meanwhile, continue worldwide. On Thursday, more than 40,000 people demonstrated in Oslo, Norway, denouncing the attack on Gaza. According to AlJazeera, other rallies were held in Venezuela, Tehran, Khartoum and Sarajevo. In Canada, around thirty activists occupied the Israeli consulate in Montreal. The action came one day after a group of Jewish Canadian women occupied the Israeli consulate in Toronto. In New York, hundreds gathered on Wednesday to respond to Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s open support for the Israeli attack. Bloomberg visited Israel last week and gave interviews backing the assault on Gaza. New York City Council Member Charles Barron said Bloomberg doesn’t speak for all New Yorkers”.
- From Democracy Now!, Headlines for January 05, 2009. “International Protests Against Israel Continue”: “Protests against the Israeli invasion continue around the world. In Israel, twenty-one members of the group "Anarchists Against the Wall" were arrested Friday morning after they blocked an Israeli Air Force base in North Tel Aviv. On Saturday, over 10,000 Israelis attended a rally in Tel Aviv opposing the Israeli invasion. Here in this country, a group of 100 scholars calling themselves California Scholars for Academic Freedom have condemned Israel's bombing of the Islamic University and other educational sites”.
- From Democracy Now! (Dec 31 2008), “(Dov Khenin) Israeli Lawmaker and (Jonathan Ben-Artzi) Conscientious Objector Nephew of Ex-PM Benjamin Netanyahu Denounce Israeli Attack on Gaza Strip”: "In Sderot, for example, there is an alternative group that is called Alternative Voices, who actually, despite the rockets there, are calling for an end to the blockade and are calling for a ceasefire, calling for an end to the attack on Gaza. And this is over 1,800 people of Sderot".
(5) Is USA in favor of Israel’s palestinians Nazi-Genocide and War Crimes?
From Reuters UK (Jan 8 2009), "US Senate supports Israel's Gaza incursion": "The chamber agreed on a voice vote to the non-binding resolution co-sponsored by Democratic and Republican party leaders in the chamber".-
The United States blocked a UN Security Council Statement.
From Democracy Now!, Headlines for January 05, 2009. "US Blocks UN Call for Ceasefire in Gaza":
US Deputy Ambassador Alejandro Wolff said: “This Council has spoken on many times about the concerns we had about Hamas’s military attacks on Israel. The charter of this organization respects the right of every member state to exercise its self-defense, and Israel’s self-defense is not negotiable.”
"The Israeli airstrikes represent serious violations of international law -- including the Geneva Conventions and a range of international humanitarian law -- and the U.S. is complicit in all of it”…
"Israel's lethal attack today [Dec. 28] on the Gaza Strip could not have happened without the active military support of the United States”…“F-16 fighter planes and Apache attack helicopters -- and the amount of military aid -- $3 billion a year -- Israel receives from Washington”…
"The use and threat of use of the U.S. veto in the [United Nations] Security Council and the reliance on raw power to pressure diplomats and governments to soften their criticism of Israel all serve to protect Israel and keep it from being held accountable by the international community",
wrote Phyllis Bennis of the Institute for Policy Studies as the Israeli attacks on Gaza began in late December”.
From OneWorld.org (Jan 9 2009),
”Rights Groups Condemn U.S. Role in Gaza Conflict”
:
“Decrying U.S. "complicity" in what they say amounts to Israeli violations of international law, human rights groups are calling on the U.S. government to demand an immediate cessation of indiscriminate violence against civilians and increased humanitarian aid to Gaza inhabitants. The flow of humanitarian assistance, including food aid, into Gaza has been severely limited by the Israeli attack”.
(6) Our poor understanding of Islam, muslims, palestinians and their history will become in the future our worldwide shame as we “call out of office” our own western terror and war machine governments and politicians from US, UK and Israel that have permitted and licensed Israel and its army of such a war onslaught atrocity towards innocent women and children.
Conclusion: Humanity must learn the lesson of “calling out the corrupted power of governments” by a worldwide massive and peaceful protest backed up by international civil boycott; made by the people with the aim of defending humanity, real democracy, and real human rights -through a worldwide movement of activists with peaceful means. From AlJazeera (Jan 9 2009), "Global protests condemn Gaza war: Boycott call":
"In Malaysia and Italy, critics of Israel's Gaza assault have called for a boycott of Israeli and US goods. "We cannot remain silent about what is happening in Gaza. We had thought of drawing up a list of businessmen who have links with Tel Aviv because people do not know who they are," Giancarlo Desiderati, a member of a small group of Italian traders who called for the boycott on its website, said.
[…] To urge arab countries to cut off oil supplies to the US and boycott goods from Coca-Cola, Colgate and Starbucks. Addressing the crowd, Mahathir Mohamed, a former prime minister, told Malaysians that they "will not die if they do not use the US goods" and urged those working for US companies such as fast-food giant McDonalds to quit their jobs. "I hope Starbucks and McDonald's employees will stop working there," he said. Coca-Cola officials said any boycott would only hurt the local economy and its citizens".
We need a bunch of Gandhis. At least for us to act like him for extended periods of time, only this can give us the change we demand, and world wide peace. I think somewhere in the future the civilian population of the world will coordinate and will learn how to govern our governments using peaceful pressures, protests and boycotts, to finally get the world we want, the democracy we want. I think…"YES WE CAN".
